Dell Latitude D630 refuses to boot up
I have problems with a non-booting Latitude D630. In my case the num-padlock has continous light, and scrl-lock and caps-lock are blinking. What does that say, and (if possible) how can I fix it?
The car diagnosis software on the computer is 'married' to the computer, so I can't only buy another D630 and move the hdd.

This is a memory error. Unplug the system and remove the battery. Hold the power button for 30 sec.
Remove and reinstall the memory module(s).
See if that clears up the issue.
If not, try one module at a time in each socket until the problem disappears. If one module tests bad in both sockets, replace it. If both modules test bad in one socket but not the other, you can either run with one module or replace the system board.

Click here for no boot laptop issue.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@ejn63 Thank You!
Just removing and reinstalling bank #2 memory made it boot up again. Unfortunately the Windows XP pro installation showed up to be crashed, but that is my next headache. The blinking is gone.
