Dell latitude 7290 wont turn on or charge
My latitude laptop wont work
"Hi Dell Support,
My Dell Latitude 7290 isn't charging or turning on with the main charger. The power button flashes when I plug in the charger. I've tried:
- Different outlets
- Checking the charger and cable for damage
- Resetting the BIOS (removed battery, held power button for 30s)
Service Tag: [insert service tag if you know it]
Any ideas or next steps? Thanks!

Unplug the system and remove the base cover. Disconnect the battery from the mainboard and hold the power button for 30 sec.
Remove and reinstall the memory module(s). Reassemble the system and see if it'll power up.
If it won't, the mainboard is bad.
You have a system that's worth between $50 and just over $100, so a board replacement probably isn't an economic repair - you'd be better off replacing the system.
