Latitude systems are mainly business computers and not really designed for gaming.
To control the CPU fan speed on your Dell Latitude E5470, you can use Dell Command | Power Manager, which allows you to manage performance, system surface temperature, and fan noise by choosing from different thermal management settings
Navigate to Thermal Management:
Click on "Thermal Management" in the left pane of Dell Power Manager.
Choose a Thermal Setting:
Optimized: Balances performance, noise, and temperature.
Quiet: Reduces cooling fan and processor speeds to reduce fan noise, but may reduce performance and raise surface temperature.
Cool: Raises cooling fan speed to maintain a cooler system surface temperature, potentially increasing noise and reducing performance.
Performance: Increases both processor and cooling fan speeds for higher system performance, potentially producing more noise and higher surface temperature.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
