7420 - sound issue, sleep mode issue, fan issue

hi

it is really disappointed to  write and be asking for help on not one but multiple issues on a newly purchase dell laptop model 7420. fyi i have tried everything suggested on forums and support sites

1) unless i reset the power plan, the laptop doesnt go into either the hibernate mode or the sleep mode -have updated the bios (latest), ran the diagnostic tool (no issues)

2) even with a CPU o 15% utlization, the fan kept running, I adjusted the fan setting in the bios, which solved to problem to some bit, however whenever i connect to an external screen via a USBC to HDMI adapter, the fan wont running

3) when the laptop comes back up after a sleep mode, the speakers (built in or external) wont work until i restart the two Windows Audio Services

Am I the only one having these problems

I wish i had invested in an any other laptop

can anyone out there help

Since this was a used purchase (it's a 2021 model), was Windows correctly installed on it or was it obtained with an existing install?  All of these are software/Windows problems.  You can either return the system to your seller or start with a clean install of Windows, followed by updating all the needed drivers.

That many tabs means the memory is probably being throttled -- start by resetting your browser and keeping a more reasonable number of browser tabs open.
