XPS1330 startup problem

My XPS 1330 was recently installed in May 2008. Now it does not startup on battery. Start up is OK if power cable is connected and power is switched on. It looks like battery problem. I sent email to technical support but no replies so far even after a week. Can any one help or make technical support to call  me.
