XPS M1530 LCD Red and Blue Lines + Webcam Failure
Tilting the LCD forward or back causes red patterns and blue lines on top of what is being displayed. Tilting also causes the blue light for the webcam to blink and I get the device plugged in/ unplugged sound. If the webcam is in use I get a message stating the webcam has been disconnected. I'm guessing there is a loose connection somewhere. Any ideas of where to start?

First thing: does the fault reproduce itself on an external monitor?

I have the same issue with my M1530 as well, only without the webcam problem. I'm stil dealing with the problem. Email customer service, and was told to run the Dell Diagnostics by doing the PSA (Preboot System Assessment). The assessment got to the LCD BIST Diagnostics, for which it ask if the color bars were displayed for which it was for me so I typed in Y for yes and the assessment moves on to other components. Now I'm searching for answers in this Community Forum. Looking for ideas as well.

Sorry for the long delay, no the issue does not appear when hooked up via rgb or hdmi to an external monitor or tv.

That means the LCD panel itself is faulty and will need to be replaced.
