Will a 15.4 WUXGA panel work on my Inspiron 1501?
I have a 1/ 2 year old Inspiron 1501 with broken WXGA panel. I happen to have a panel for an XPS which is WUXGA. I noticed the new cable has an extra plug, which I believe my Inspiron has no socket for. Can I use the cable for the Inspiron's WXGA panel, and connect it to the new WUXGA panel? Well it work and will it provide the panels full display abilities?
Here is some info on the WUXGA.
15.4" WUXGA LCD Panel includes inverter and flex cable Dell LCD Part # U0674 Dell Screen Replacement Kit # T4556 Manufactures LCD Part # LQ154W1LW02 ( Sharp) Refurbished 15.4" WUXGA LCD panel for a Dell Inspiron 9100 and XPS laptops, Dell Kit # T4556. It is the highest resolution LCD panel available for the Inspiron 9100 & XPS and produces a stunning 1900 x1200 screen image.
I have confirmed that Dell uses this panel in the Inspiron 9100 and XPS laptop and others models. Several other websites and auctions seems to indicate that it is also compatible with the Inspiron 8500, 8600, 8600C, Latitude D800, D810, Precision M60 and many others.
I really appreciate the time you folks took to read.
