Vostro 1400 LCD is it WXGA+ or XGA+?

If you read the overview page it lists the possible screens as:

14.1" Wide Screen WXGA+ (1440x900) display with TrueLifeTM
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA (1280x800) display with TrueLifeTM
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA (1280x800) display

But pretty much any method I try to configure, all I can find is XGA+

Anyone know what the deal is, I'm seriously considering buying one, is WXGA+ still an option?

Thanks

They're all wide screens (WXGA).

Interesting, the configuration page says:

14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display [subtract $40]
May delay your Vostro 1400 ship date

14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife™ [subtract $40]
May delay your Vostro 1400 ship date

14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA+ LCD Display with TrueLife™ [Included in Price]

Does that mean they are WXGA and WXGA+?

Thanks

Yes. The W stands for widescreen.

Two things have pervaded the notebook industry - wide screen and glossy displays. Not coincidentally, widescreen panels are cheaper to make than standard aspect panels because more of them can be cut from a single sheet of glass, and glossy displays are cheaper because of the omission of the overlay.
