Something loose?

My computer suddenly crashed with the screen turning blank white and then emitting three beeps. I restarted the computer once and it froze on the start up page, I then restarted again and was able to turn it on and conducted a scan for viruses. Once the scan was complete I turned off the laptop (Vostro 3550, just a month old). I left it for an hour and a half and then attempted to turn it back on. Next I was met with a completely blank screen (no backlight etc) and after twenty to thrity seconds it emitted three beeps.

But after my friend advised it might be comething loose as the fan was not working correctly and so he said that removing the battery should at least allow me to back up my files. We then removed it and heard the unmistakable sound of something loose. It now does function but niether of us being particularly good with laptops do not want to open the back cover and find out what it is. I have a computer clinic at my uni although it doesnt open for another week. Will I be able to have someone come and fix this on my warranty (this laptop is only a month old and I have never dropped it or spilt water etc on it, I only moved it from my bedroom to the studyroom when this occured!!!)?
