Re-installing XP from hard drive??

I have an Inspiron E1505 with XP Home Media Direct. Want to re-install the system from the hard drive - at least I think it can. There is a FAT (32?) partition on the drive that came with the machine so I assume it contains the system. If so there should be some certain keys to be hold don while re-booting. Please help.
