MMC card stuck in laptop

Hi,
I can't seem to remove my MMC from my laptop. I can press it in to push down the spring which then unlocks it halfway, but it still doesn't come far enough out of the slot. I've even tried holding the laptop sideways and shaking it, hoping the card would fall it, but no luck. I'm tempted to find a tweezers or scissors and try and force it out, but before I try that I wanted to know what you recommend to do. Is there a little tiny button somewhere (like a CDrom has) that'll pop out my card?

many thanks for any advice or help
Brian

I forgot to say my laptop is an Inspiron 6400, which I bought late last year.

there is no button.and if you put the right card facing the right way in the right reader slot and it doesn't want to come out, most likeky your reader has malfunctioned and i suggest to take your laptop to a repair shop if you still have warranty.
