Dust under the screen of my E1705

Over the last few weeks I've noticed an increasing number of small specks of dust on the LCD my E1705. A microfiber cloth won't remove them, so I assume they're under the surface of the screen or between the glass and the LCD panel itself. They're all off to the right-hand side, and they're definitely not stuck pixels.

Just today I noticed a small line, which looks like hair (eyelash) near the bottom right hand corner. Gently tapping the screen dislodges it slightly, but it's not going away.

Aren't LCD panels supposed to be sealed against this kind of thing? Does my warranty cover a repair/replacement/cleaning of the inner LCD panel?
