Be careful on which 17" bag you buy. The M1730 is bigger than most. I bought this bag And it won't fit. The bag zips but shows the corner.

Mr Plasma snipa,

I can advise you for the Targus or our dell 17" bags, you have the Targus XL notebook case it fits perfect a 17 " laptop part number ' CN317 ' or our dell notebook case wich you can find under part number ' 460-10139 '.

Any of this 2 will suit you propably, if not there are some other brands with 17" fit.

hope that helps.

Cheers,

Totally agreed - Only few 17" bags can fit the monster neatly unless you go to Dell - I don't know why no option to buy a bag from Dell. Probably people think we won't carry it to go any where.

Now the backpack I got with my XPS Gen2 computer works perfect. Real nice fit. But there is the one problem. IT HAS XPS embedded in it. Why advertise that you are carrying a very expensive computer? True that the average crook might not know what a XPS is, but never put it down. I wish that bag would have worked. It is costly, but I loaded it up and strapped it on. Didn't feel heavy on the back. The cushions on the back, and the straps are a little springy. That case is worth it, best backpack I ever owned. I am just sorry it doesn't fit the M1730.

The original M1730 XPS bag was really nice.

I have reviewed it - link is below...
