Dell Wireless D5000 Dock with latitude e6540

Does anyone know if the Wireless Dock D5000 can be used with the e6540 laptop?

It looks like it comes with a new wireless card so would it work on the e6540 plus other dell laptops?

Also WiFi and WiGig can be used at the same time, correct? That way I could continue to use my wireless network even when connected to the dock since I don't plan on using ethernet.
