Dell Inspiron won't turn on?
Have a Dell Inspiron 1521, its now about 4 years old, was doing some work on it and left it for couple of minutes when I returned the screen was black and I couldn't get it to turn on again.
Charger is not faulty, nor is there an issue with the battery.
Can't access bios, etc.
When I try to switch it on the power light comes on and the cd drive light but it won't boot!
Switching it on using on button and Fn causes Tab light to stay on and numlock and caps lock to flash
Any solutions???

Maybe it is booting but you can't tell because the screen is dark. Try connecting an external monitor.

No my brother suggested this too, but connected it up to an external monitor and no luck! :(

Num and caps lock flash/scroll steady is a video chip failure:
