IsilonSD Edge Appliance VM OVAs (Default SCSI Controller Selection)

Hello,

We've recently deployed an SD Cluster but I noticed that the Management server has configured the SD nodes with a VMware Paravirtual SCSI adapter.  My understanding is that these OVA's are built on FreeBSD 11, and "VMware recommends that you use the LSI Logic virtual SCSI adapter (parallel) with this guest operating system." (up to FreeBSD 10 at least...)

-source:VMware Documentation for FreeBSD 10.x

Is this expected?

Thanks,

Derek

I've received an answer on this query from EMC:

"The PVSCSI emulation is not supported for FreeBSD but is supported for OneFS.  ...." and

"OneFS uses a driver that has not made its way to FreeBSD yet."

Additionally [I'll paraphrase] 'VMware has recommended that PVSCSI Emulation be used for the OneFS driver being deployed'
