Isilon Onefs as HDFS trash handling
Hi Team,
We should know that the Isilon Onefs can replace all the functionalities of HDFS except few, one of them is handling the HDFS trash. Also we came to know that the Isilon is not going to support for Trash. As a end user we need the trash to be kept in isilon for at least 48 Hrs to avoid any accidental deletes. Do we have any script that can do this ?

Look into OneFS snapshots -- more extensive and robust than any mechanism that requires file removals to explicitly target a dedicated Trash folder.

We think that snapshots are bit expensive? if we have fast changing data like add and removals and will need more space to be allocated and also restore is bit expensive, where as if the file is in Trash we can just copy back to the original.
