Isilon Ge6 controller battery replacement
Hello everyone,
I’m opening this case because I’ve searched through the documentation and would like to know if there is any other option to resolve the issue I’m facing.
I have an Isilon Gen6 system where I replaced the controller batteries.
The batteries have been charging for more than 24 hours, but they still show up as “Failed”.
In the event log, I get the following message:
“Replace the following component as soon as possible: HBA Riser Card with Battery Backup Unit”.
My question is:
Is it possible to bypass this alert or force the battery to synchronise with the new riser?
Or is the only way to solve this to reinstall the battery together with the riser as a full kit?
I would really appreciate any guidance or advice on how to resolve this.
Best regards to the whole community!
