Hello kamalan,

Which Isilon system do you have as you didn’t state that in your post? Is the H700 and H500 in the same host or are they in different hosts? What is the OS that is on the host?

Hi Sam,

Both are in two different locations with different host. I’m not sure about the OS. Thank you

Hello kamalan,

What is the OS that is running on the hosts that are connected to your Isilon and Powerscale systems?

Hello kamalan,

Reinitializing Isilon H500

To reinitialize an Isilon H500 node, it is recommended to smartfail and reformat each drive in the cluster.

Key Steps:

·       Smartfail each drive one at a time or one node at a time.

·       Reformat the drives after smartfailing.

Here is the link to a kb for repurposing a powerscale node. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000020298/isilon-how-to-reset-and-add-repurposed-isilon-nodes-to-an-existing-cluster?lang=en
