Does Isilon 8.1.2 support posix SMB3.11 extensions?

We had a user try and mount a CIFS share with SMB v3.11 and got this message:

"CIFS VFS: Server does not support mounting with posix SMB3.11 extensions."

Not sure yet of what OS he was using.   We are running OneFS 8.1.2.0.

User also writes... 

"We would like to use the CIFS home directories for Windows and Linux home
directories (removing our need to use AFS for home directories), however
the current options available on the volume prevent it from being used for
a linux home directory."
