Embedded Box 5000 (Intel Core i5) has Intel AMT?
Hello!
In our company, we have begun using the Embedded Box 5000 computer for a remote application.
Our machine contains the Intel Core i5, which according to Intel's specification supports vPro, and in particular Intel Active Management Technology. This feature, when activated, gives you BIOS-level vnc-based access to a machine over an existing ethernet port.
Intel AMT would be an extremely useful feature to have in many embedded applications. So my questions is whether it is possible to activate it on the EB5000. Our attempts so far (BIOS 1.6.0, pressing CTRL+P on boot up) have not given any result. Dell documentation has no mention of the feature apart from BIOS updates which seem to fix an Intel AMT vulnerability.
Any hints or ideas would be appreciated.
Best regards,
JW
