another way to check HARDWARE STATUS

Did you know there are multiple ways to check for HW status in IDPA.

Probably the most common way is iDRAC (including getting TSR logs)- and that usually is the best way.

But if for some reason iDRAC is not available there are other ways to check, and here is one of the best ways to check PowerEdge Server HW (used with IDPA for all esxi hosts):

SSH to Appliance Configuration Manager (ACM) as root user and run each of the following commands as needed:
#showfru disk
#showfru fan
#showfru dimm
#showfru power
#showfru boss
#showfru network

The showfru disk cmd is especially useful as a way to monitor the rebuild status after a disk replacement.

Later I will add some additional ways to check HW- including how to check HW on a physical Avamar and/or Data Domain.
