Windows 10 show 'external' battery percentage

Hi,

I already posted this question on Dell's community on Reddit, but going to post it here too.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 Inch 7591 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 10 Home. I recently bought a Targus 140W USB-C Power Bank from https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/targus-140w-usb-c-portable-power-bank/apd/451-bdjh/pc-accessories . When I plug it into my laptop, the battery icon on the Windows Taskbar shows the 'internal' battery is 100% and charging as expected. However when I click on the battery icon, it doesn't display the battery level/percentage of the 'external' battery (the power bank.) Attached is a screenshot. I would like Windows to show me the percentage of the 'external' battery. Is this possible?

Thank you

That requires software from the power bank manufacturer -- check with them to see if it exists.

Read above - you will need at least a driver or software from the device manufacturer.  No, Windows will not natively report on the device status without third party driver/software.

Hi @ejn63

Thank you for the information. I apologize for posting in this community numerous times yesterday - my question didn't appear in the Inspiron category until this morning.
