Very Poor Quality & Customer Support – Disappointed with Dell Inspiron
I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 (Intel iCore 7, 13th generation, 1TB hard drive) in October 2023. Shockingly, by early 2025 — only about 1.5 years later — the keyboard/system already started malfunctioning (certain keys such as ASDFJKL;’79 become unresponsive on restart, switch-on, or after sleep, only functioning after 5–10 minutes). I don’t even think the keyboard is physically damaged since I can still type; this feels more like a system/software fault.
When I contacted Dell support, I was told I would be given a repair quote. I waited for almost a month with no reply at all. Only when I called again did they finally send me a quote — which turned out to be very expensive, with zero explanation or apology.
This is completely unacceptable for a supposedly premium product. A laptop of this specification should not fail so quickly, and Dell’s after-sales service has been slow, unhelpful, and not even apologetic. I expected far better support, but this whole experience has been extremely disappointing.
