Very old Inspiron 660 - Expiring boot certificate

Is there any way to manually update the boot certificate on my 15 year old Inspiron 660? Is my only option to disable secure boot? Can I obtain the new certificate somewhere and manually install it since I am WAY out of support?

The device is currently running bios version A13 in UEFI mode with Linux Mint as the OS.
