Unable to Find Virtualization Setting in BIOS – Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7440 (Ultra 7 155H)
Hi everyone,
I recently got a Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7440 with the Intel Ultra 7 155H processor. I'm trying to set up a virtual machine using VirtualBox/VMware, but I noticed that there's no option for virtualization (VT-x/VT-d) anywhere in the BIOS. I've looked under all sections, including Security, Advanced, Integrated Devices, etc., and it’s just not there. I’ve also checked in Windows Task Manager, and it shows “Virtualization: Disabled”. I haven’t been able to find a way to enable it since the BIOS doesn’t show any related setting. Things I’ve tried: Accessed BIOS using F2 during boot Scanned all BIOS tabs thoroughly Checked for an “Advanced Mode” option Made sure I’m running the latest BIOS version I know the processor supports virtualization, so I’m wondering: Is virtualization enabled by default and just hidden? Do I need to perform a specific update or action to unlock the option? Has anyone with the same model been able to enable it? Would really appreciate if anyone from the community (or Dell support) can share any insights or a solution. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
