Touchpad on my Inspiron 7706 2-in-1 Stopped working
Inspiron 7706 2-in-1
I have tried everything, and yet it's not working. I use a mouse and have a backup wireless mouse. I upgraded to Windows 11 about a month ago. My systems are updated weekly, so the drivers are up to date (and I did another update yesterday). I did the scary (for me) uninstall the touchpad filter in the Device Manager (I think it worked, but I can't swear to it). I have done the obvious and checked the touchpad is on in settings, including when the mouse is in use. I've toggled that on and off several times. I have tried diagnostics, which fails because they ask to tap, and the pad won't respond. But when I read the info on the touchpad information box, it says it functions correctly. I can only think that my cats LOVE walking on the keyboard and have been known to toggle something occasionally. I can't figure out if there is a toggle for the touchpad. Please help!

Probably best to try a fresh install of Windows as upgrades tend to mess up windows
