Touch pad not working - Inspiron 15 5510 - Windows 11 & USB Port malfunction
My touch pad suddenly stopped working.
In Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > I2C HID Devices appears with a yellow sign
Also the USB port at the side of my right hand when I plug in an USB optical mouse, the light of the optical mouse works, however the cursor is not visible.
The same optical mouse when plugged in at the USB port on the side of my left hand it works fine.
I have run Diagnostic Test / Updated BIOS / Uninstalled I2C HID Devices Driver and followed troubleshooting instructions from several sources, but nothing changed.
What else can I do? Please advise
Thank you

If the optical mouse's light is working but the cursor is not visible, the issue is likely with the computer's software recognition of the mouse, not the mouse itself. Here's how to troubleshoot:
1. Verify the Mouse is Recognized:
Try a different USB port: Sometimes, a particular USB port might be faulty.
Check for mouse drivers: Ensure the correct drivers are installed for the mouse.
Test with another USB device: Plug in a different USB device (like a flash drive) to see if the port and the computer are working correctly.
2. Software Troubleshooting:
Restart your computer: A simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.
Update Windows: Check for and install any available Windows updates.
Run the built-in device troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can automatically diagnose and fix mouse issues.
Check mouse settings in Windows: Ensure the mouse is enabled and configured correctly in Windows settings.
Uninstall and reinstall mouse drivers: If the mouse isn't recognized, uninstall and then reinstall the mouse drivers using Device Manager.
3. Check the Mouse:
Make sure the mouse is powered on: If it's a wireless mouse, ensure it's turned on and the batteries are not dead.
Clean the mouse sensor: Dust and debris on the sensor can prevent it from tracking correctly.
