The laptop is not turning on, But when connected to power. The keyboard lights up Periodically
I have dell laptop of my friend and it is not turning on.but when it is connected to power. The keypad lights up periodically. The last time I used it. I put it in to sleep after the use. So, I need to know what is the issue and how can I solve it.

Unplug the system, disconnect the battery from the mainboard and hold the power button for 30 sec. Remove and reinstall the memory module(s) if they're removeable. Verify that the LED on the AC adapter is on before you plug in the notebook end. If it's not, replace the adapter. With the battery disconnected, plug in the AC adapter and see if the system will power up. If it will, shut down and reconnect the battery and try again.
If the system fails to power up thereafter, replace the mainboard.
