The laptop is not starting and the white power light is blinking every 4 seconds.
My Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop was not starting today. And the white power light was blinking every 4 seconds.
I put the laptop for charging and tried starting the laptop, still it's not starting and only the white light is blinking every 4 seconds.
I removed the battery and connected the power adapter and tried starting using the electricity directly. Still it's not starting.
I removed the battery. Pressed the power button for 1 min, and then put the battery back and connected the power adapter, still it's not starting.
What has happened to my laptop. Can someone please help.

I took the laptop to a 3rd party repair shop. They said the motherboard had some damage. So, they did the repairing and now it works again.
Thank you for your help everyone....

What model laptop do you have?
Are you getting any fans or noises?

@Kennabytes It's Dell Inspiron 3543. I purchased it in 2015. There is no noise of fan. Only 1 slight sound comes when the white light blinks.

It is a faulty system board -- whether you want to replace that in light of the cost and current value of the system is a decision only you can make, but you will likely be better off with a new system than repairing one this age.

The power button blinking 4 times on a Inspiron 3543 (2014) laptop does not indicate a specific fault. So motherboard failure is likely - as suggested above. That said, removal and/or replacement of the CMOS/motherboard battery is always worth a go - see the Inspiron 15 3543 Service Manual (dell.com)
You will want to remove the power adapter, primary battery, and then the coin-cell. Then either hold down the power button to discharge the unit (or leave for an hour or two) and then replace the coin-cell, battery and power adapter, and power on - and keep your fingers crossed!
