SSD Upgrade for Dell G5515 AMD Ryzen Edition.
Hello everyone, I have 512gb capacity in my laptop. I want to do an upgrade. As far as I know I have 2 slots and once tech guy opened the laptop in front of me I saw one 2230 ssd but I don't remember that I saw 2. slot. I want to upgrade laptop as much as higher capacity since I am not very skilled. dell manuel pdf says that I can change 2230 with 2280 (actually they are telling that u can swap beds for 2230 to 2280 or vice versa). But in dell website it suggests not to do it, so they are telling that if you have 2230 do not swap with 2280. I will add it below. Also dell says that I can upgrade until 1 tb not 2 tb ( 1tb for 2230 and 2tb for 2280) but I want 2 tb. my question is can I upgrade it 2tb by using 2 slot and 2230 and do I need heat sink for 2230?
Also 3 weeks ago natural mineral water (without sugar) exploded next to the pc and I guess the pc waited in that soda for at most 20 hours. Then I turned on the pc at that moment and the sound and image were normal, a few minutes later it gave an error that the ram could not be displayed and I turned it off. By the way, the pc's warranty period has expired but I still gave my pc to the authorized service recommended by Dell. The authorized service charged me 1874 US dollars for the repair cost of the pc I bought for 950 US dollars in 2022, today, June 2025, because they recommend replacing all parts that come into contact with liquid. Therefore, my other question is, will this pc break down completely in a few months and does it make sense to invest in it in terms of ram and ssd? Because this situation is said to be common in cases of liquid contact and I saw a green color on the motherboard due to liquid contact and I did not clean it completely and probably the authorized service did not clean it either. Do you recommend that I clean it after this time?
Sorry my laptop has a long story but if you could help me it would make me very happy because I really want to save this laptop and use it for a few more years.

Storage details:
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/g-series-15-5515-laptop/dell-g15-5515-setup-and-specifications/storage?guid=guid-a00459e0-2a64-449c-9f02-581bf2e3c2cf&lang=en-us
As for the rest, if you spent that much on a repair, they likely swapped out the mainboard, meaning there should be no issues with remaining liquid residue inside.
If you have not had the system repaired, note that it's worth about half what you paid for it - meaning you can go to EBay and buy a working replacement system for a fraction of the repair cost.
The repair cost alone would buy a brand-new notebook with a year warranty at a higher performance level as the one you have.

@ejn63 Hello firstly thanks for answer. I did not and will not pay the fix money (1874 usd). So it still has old parts with water. I am asking if it worth to buy new ssd and ram. Although total cost is around 206 usd I dont want to spend money for a pc that will not work in a few months. (Now I have an idea, simply I can wait a few months haha:) )
