Service tag has changed laptop not recognised by dell
Dell bios update changed the model number and service number
Please help !
My laptop has changed from Inspiron 3505 to AMD-Mandolin-PCO and the service tag has changed to 123456789. Do i have a virus ? no dell support software works because of the service tag so i cant use dell recovery
Now the F2 and F12 keys wont work i have to prompt windows to restart in UEFI mode to change any bios settings and more oddly it now has a front page on the bios with options to hardware and few other things.
this all came about after i was warned to flash the bios to 1.27 also the bios reads as
BIOS Version/Date Insyde Corp. Myrtle.00.00.00.0000, Not Available
BaseBoard Product Mandolin-PCO
Thanks

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@DELL-Jesse L
Hello ii have my old service tag but the warranty run Ended 02 Jan 2022
i dont have the invoice what shall i do ??
Do you think its a virus that has caused the service tag to change
or is it more likely something ive done please could you put my mind at rest i'm worried my system may be comprised as alot of my passwords have been leaked according to google chrome
one of thing alot of forums are saying the service tag can only set by dell one time only
Many thanks in advance
