Repeated Hardware Defect - Dell G15 Fails Again After “Repair”
Hello Dell Support and Community,
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience and would appreciate any guidance or escalation help.
I purchased my Dell G15 on Amazon around April 2024. Within a few months, the laptop stopped turning on. It was repaired under warranty by an authorized service center in Egypt.
But immediately after getting it back, I noticed the GPU wasn’t functioning at full resolution and no software fixes worked. Due to travel, I couldn’t return it immediately.
Now, a short time later, the original issue has returned: the device will not power on at all.
By this time, the warranty has expired. Dell support keeps telling me they won't help because it’s “out of warranty.”
But this is not fair:
The original defect happened within warranty.
The so-called “repair” did not actually fix the problem—it only delayed it.
This clearly shows a persistent, manufacturing-level defect.
I have tried contacting Dell multiple times on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter DMs, and through other channels. I keep getting copy/paste replies blaming the warranty expiry.
I’m asking Dell to recognize this as a continuing defect from the original warranty claim, and to escalate this for a fair resolution.
Please, if any Dell representative or community moderator can help me escalate this to a manager or the appropriate team, I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.
Although the Local Repairer may not be applicable.

@anne_droid
Thanks for replying.
Here are the details:
- Make & Model: Dell G15 5530
- OS: Windows 11 Home (original Dell pre-installed)
- Touch screen: No
- Backlit keyboard: Yes
- Form factor: Laptop (not SFF or tower)
Please let me know if you need any other info. Thanks.
Also, please note the issue was first repaired under warranty but the same problem has returned.
