RAM incompatibility upgrade

Inspiron 15 7510

Inspiron 15 7510

Good evening,

I tried to upgrade the RAM of my Dell Inspiron 7510 with the Corsair Vengeance CMSX32GX4M2A3200C22. Every characteristic is the same as the default 16GB RAM sticks but it returns the BIOS error of incompatible RAM (2+5 led signal)

What is the problem? Those sticks of RAM are not compatible despite being basically equal to the default Samsung RAM.

Thanks

Vengeance RAM has more aggressive timing than your system can handle.  It's designed for gaming systems with adjustable timing -- which your system does not have.

@ejn63 Thanks for your answer. I have an additional question. From the manual the max RAM installable seems to be 32GB, however, when I search for the compatible RAM on the Crucial website it shows also 64GB sticks ( https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/dell/inspiron-15-plus-(7510) ). Is the Crucial website wrong?
