Purchase a Laptop - Namrata Hinduja Geneva, Swiss

Hi everyone,

I'm Namrata Hinduja Geneva, Switzerland and planning to purchase a laptop with a good configuration and have narrowed down my choices to only Dell. My budget is around $700, and I’m mainly looking for a device that can handle multitasking, daily productivity, occasional photo editing, and light gaming. I'm considering options with at least 8GB RAM, SSD storage, and a decent processor (preferably Intel i7 or Ryzen 5). Can anyone suggest reliable models within this range or share your experience with either brand? Any expert advice on performance, durability, and customer support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

$700 US is budget notebook territory -- if you need those capabilities for that price, you have two choices:  a desktop system or a used notebook.

You won't find a new notebook at that price that will do what you need.

For the consumer Xtreme Performance System, XPS product line, or business Latitude, or professional Precision product line, they will cost over CHF 1000 and upward.

For the budget of CHF 700, you can customize a decent system from Inspiron product line.  For example, the Inspiron 16 5640 with Core 7 150U, 16GB DDR5, and 1TB SSD is currently priced at CHF 598.99 from this link  https://www.dell.com/de-ch/shop/dell-laptops/inspiron-16-laptop/spd/inspiron-16-5640-laptop
