Proper RAM for Inspiron

Please advise as to the proper SHEEP, pardon me please, I mean the proper RAM for the Inspiron 15 3000.

I have presently 8 GB and wish to rumble it up to 16 GB. Here's what I'm looking at on Amazon. Your advice would be appreciated.

Timetec 16GB KIT(2x8GB) DDR4 2666MHz (DDR4-2666) PC4-21300 (PC4-2666V) Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL19 1Rx8 Single Rank 260 Pin SODIMM Laptop Notebook PC Computer Memory RAM Module Upgrade : Amazon.ca: Electronics

You'll need the specific model -- there is over a dozen models in that series.  Inspiron 3501, 3593, etc. is what you need to supply.

Crucial and Kingston both have memory configurators you can use to choose RAM guaranteed to work.  Most other memory vendors do not guarantee compatibility, so for anything else be sure you ask your memory supplier.

It should work spec-wise, but as above, any guarantee should come from the seller.

That ram should fit perfectly. 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666 is what most Inspiron 15 3000 models support. should give you a nice speed boost.

Thanks for the reply. I see on the bottom of the laptop Dell Inspiron 3511. Based on this, would you say the link provided in my previous posting would allow that type of RAM to fit in this particular computer?
