not turning on

Hi to All,

I bought a dell inspiron 14 2 in 1 laptop last April, it stopped working, I can see the green light in adaptor. It's not turning on at all, I've tried to all reboot options, tried to plug into different adaptors in different rooms but nothing changed. Never dropped the laptop, never spilled anything on it. All of a sudden it stopped working.

Please can someone guide me how to make this work.

Make sure the LED on the power adapter is ON.  If it's not, the adapter is bad.

Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the system board.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.  If the memory module(s) is (are) removeable, remove and reinstall them.

Reassemble and try again.

If that doesn't get the system running, call Dell for warranty repair.

Hi ejn63,

I tried to do it, nothing is working.  I purchased it last year Apr 2025, do you think dell would do anything? I am currently in India for my holiday, does dell have global warranty? Please can someone guide me.

It depends on the warranty you purchased - if it's the basic 12 month return to depot warranty, it applies only in the country of purchase.
