Need help, my laptop is now completely dead only 15 months old

  • Laptop suddenly shut down
  • Now completely dead
  • No LED when plugged in
  • Tried power drain (30 seconds)
  • Device only slightly out of warranty (~4 months)
  • Normal usage, no damage

It had frequent blue screens since day one, I thought windows 11 was the problem.

Now completely dead, and our of warranty, what can I do?

Assuming that means out of warranty, you can either have Dell provide a repair cost estimate or take the system to a local repair shop for theirs.

Feel free to refer to the following video and article for no power troubleshooting:

The best things to try out will be the hard reset with the battery removed, MBIST, RAM/SSD removal, and the RTC reset.

You don't mention what laptop model you have.

But since Dell has decided that run-batteries don't need to pop-off or latch-on any more

- AND -

They provide no secret (often pin hole) EC-Reset button

... it's virtually impossible for owners to do a proper "dead parrot" reset like the laptops of yester-year.
