Need help confirming battery compatibility for Dell Inspiron 15 3501

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using a Dell Inspiron 15 3501 for about 4 years. Recently the battery started dying quickly it only lasts around 30 minutes on a full charge. I ran the onboard Dell diagnostics and it reports the battery has reached the end of its life, so I’m planning to replace it.

While browsing the Dell India store I found this official 3-cell 42 Wh replacement battery . However, when I checked the “compatible systems” list on that page, my exact model (Inspiron 15 3501) isn’t mentioned.

I opened up my laptop and the part number/shape looks the same as the one in the link, but I’m still unsure.

Question:
Can anyone confirm whether this battery will work with the Inspiron 15 3501? Or should I be looking for a different Dell part number?
