My laptop is getting hot, and the charger is also. This is my new laptop.

Well It quite Strange that kind of issue in a new laptop but more or less  but you can try the following:

1, Check Background Activity
2. Update the windows to it latest version
3. Check the batter driver if it is outdated updated it to it latest vesion.
4. Ensure Proper Ventilation for the laptop
5. Use PC optimizer software Like Advanced System Optimizer to reduce system load.

What part of the world are you in?

Does it have a stable electricity supply (voltage and frequency) and not running from a generator or similar?

It may be a faulty charger, not supplying the correct voltage to the device, so is there a way you can check or substitute the charger?
