Locked BIOS Inspirion 5550
Good morning,
I bought a laptop with a locked BIOS. I have proof of purchase through an online store. The system number is <To protect your privacy, all private information was removed from this public post. DELL-Admin>-6FF1. I'd like to request a service password; otherwise, I won't be able to do anything. Regards.

Have the seller unlock it. If they won't, return the system for a refund.

To get support from Dell with a BIOS Password reset, you must perform a Transfer of Ownership if you are not the original owner. You should receive an email if approved. If approved, you may then contact Support at that time for assistance. There may be a cost associated with the reset if the unit is already out of warranty.
