Laptop Only Shows Orange Light – Won’t Turn On Properly

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having a strange issue with my laptop (HP – not sure if it’s hardware or power-related). Here’s what’s happening:

• When I press the power button, the orange light (charging light) turns on, but nothing else happens.
• Sometimes it randomly turns on by itself and boots normally.
• When it does turn on, battery works fine, but if I try to power it without the charger, it does nothing (no lights, no fan, no screen).
• I’ve already tried:
  
• • Holding the power button for 30 seconds (hard reset)
  • Removing battery (if removable)
  • Checking charger and port
• No burning smell or visible damage on the motherboard — I’ve checked inside.

This problem started recently and is getting worse over time.
