Laptop freezes and shows black screen after RAM upgrade – Dell G15 5520

Hey everyone,

I recently upgraded my Dell G15 (Intel i5, 12th Gen) from 1x8GB RAM to 2x16GB Crucial 4800MHz sticks (total 32GB). Everything boots fine, BIOS detects the RAM, and performance initially seems okay.

However, after some time — even when just browsing or on a video call — the laptop completely freezes and then goes to a black screen. I can’t do anything unless I force shut it down.

I’ve run diagnostics (Dell BIOS and Windows memory test), and both came back with no errors.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Could this be a compatibility issue or maybe something I missed during installation?

Any tips or suggestions would be super appreciated!
