Keyboard Repair Timing and Pricing
I have a Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition gaming laptop, with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Processor with Radeon Graphics.
Recently the D button on my keyboard has officialy worn out. I'm conisdering sending my laptop to Dell Support to have a new keyboard installed.
How much time and money is usually required for a situation like this? Also, is this one of those cases where the computer would be restored to factory defaults upon return resulting in the need to back up all my files?

The palmrest assembly needs to be replaced. The part is under $50

The job isn't trivial but any local computer shop can handle it for whatever an hour's labor costs in your area.
You can also contact Dell out of warranty repair for an estimate -- it generally takes 10-14 business days for a repair.
