Integrated Webcam disconnecting, Windows 7 Inspiron 15R
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 and off recently I've been having problems with it. One of the problems I am facing with my Integrated Webcam. I recently updated all my drivers manually and installed support assist where the Integrated Webcam appeared again (note that the Integrated Webcam was missing all this time) after installing support assist. I also has a problem with the USB controller as it was under the Unknown Device category in Device manager. when I tried updating, it couldn't find a driver saying "The drivers for this device are not installed" after a little bit of research I installed the Wistron Texas USB Driver and after that my USB Problem was fixed and a few days later problems started to arise. It said there was a Power Surge on Hub Port saying A USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port. You should disconnect the device." and asked me to either 'Close' or 'Reset'. I chose reset and the message popped up again. I neglected it and turned off my pc. when using my laptop the windows disconnecting sound was heard and I found it quite strange as there was nothing on my USB Hub Ports. when I checked Device Manager the Imaging Devices sub-category was missing. when I put my computer to sleep after around half an hour it came back and my webcam was working fine and again it disconnected. I updated all the USB Devices and my webcam driver and heres something the time I updatedmy webcam driver it said the best drivers are already installed and showed USB Video Device. and when I tried updating the USB drivers it said the drivers are upto date. What I am suspecting is the usb port has stopped supplying the webcam with power. How do I fix this.
