Inspiron screen randomly goes black

The screen on my Inspiron 14 2 in 1 randomly goes black while I am using it. It usually happens a few times in a row, where it will go black for 2-3 seconds and then come back on. Today it went black a few times, then turned white with a small sad face icon in the upper left corner. I have tried running the diagnostic scans and results say everything is fine. I've also updated drivers. Any ideas of what else to try? Dell chatbot was not understanding the issue and was not helpful. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you resolve it? Thanks!
