Inspiron 7591 2in1 Realtek Audio driver crashes when closing laptop
Hello,
When closing my laptop with Win 111 (after upgrade from Win 10), The audio stops coming from the headphone socket.
When checking the setting audio setting s and trying to click headphones, it says headphones device is not plugged in.
This is not recoverable until I restart the computer again or I disable and then re-enable the Realtek device in the device manager.
I have re-installed the Realtek driver from Dell site several times but it is not helping this issue. I have installed:
Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Driver_XF4RR_WIN_6.0.8984.1_A02_02.EXE
How can I fix this? Please help as this computer is used mainly for driving audio.
Best regards
Bernt

Reinstall the chipset drivers, reboot and then reinstall the audio drivers.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
