Inspiron 7440 2 in 1 docking station

I am looking for a docking station to work with a Dell Inspiron 14 7440 2-in-1  Support link

I have found this document from another similar post. 

My basic requirement is that I wish to be able to connect the 7440 and run it with the cover closed on an external single monitor connected to the dock.  The device will sit on an under desk keyboard tray closed when attached to the dock.

I would like to think the system will respond to:

• Power off, cover closed, attach to dock, power on from dock, show on external monitor
• 7440 in use as a wireless PC,  close cover (sleep or hibernate), attach to dock, press button on dock, show on second monitor.
• Other similar scenarios.

I expect I will need to configure the power plans.  Not sure if there is anything on BIOS/Settings

The manual mentions Wake Dell USB-C Dock, but nothing about the status of the cover (closed)

Can any or all of these devices do this?  Ideally one of the older HD22Q or UD22 as these are available for not much pre-owned.

EDIT: It appears that there is both a Lattitude and Inspiron 7440 cited in the compatibility guide, and I missed that these have different compatibility.  Seems like the above 2 are the only options???  Seems odd to offer a new machine with no current compatibility for docks.
