Inspiron 5770 sometimes would not boot beyond large Dell logo, now permanent
This problem started about 2 months ago. The first time it happened I tipped up the machine onto the back of its screen to look at the service tag number. To my surprise, it immediately sprung to life. The next time I tried the same trick and it didn't work initially but when I tapped the edge of base behind the touch pad it booted. The same procedure always worked several more times but now will not boot beyond the large Dell logo at all.
The machine has two hard drives, one solid state containing the operating system and the other conventional. I did fit a new Crucial solid state hard drive 6-9 months ago. The machine worked perfectly until 2 months ago.
Advice would be appreciated.

Hi
I would remove and re-seat the memory and check all other connections.

Also fitted some more memory at the same time as the hard drive

@Mini_Gamer7840 ""umm… how do I do that?""
Perhaps start a new thread, listing the problem and ...
"Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc."
