Inspiron 5570 adding a larger ssd for my c hard drive
Would I be able to put a 256gb ssd c hard drive in the current slot that has a 128gb ssd hard drive?

Per the storage specifications, you can install up to a 512GB nvme SSD. So yes, you can do 256GB.

I suggest you go-ahead and get the 512gb one. That will last the life of the laptop.
Once you get all of Windows on there, some real programs, a few games and try to leave 50-100gb free for drive-happiness ... the 256gb eventually become tight. Never-mind that you should really also Over-Provision by 5-10% (raw space at the end).

would you be able to tell me how to transfer the data from the old ssd, which is my c drive operation system, to the new, bigger ssd c drive operating system?
